I didn’t know “if” or how I would ever be able to take a photo of my girls again. Those are some of those things that are “never going to back to the way they were” . I am so thankful that despite “being fat” , hate my hair, ARG, weather etc…that as a photographer I have taken many many family photos and many photos and portraits of my children. As you might imagine the value of these images are now priceless

For me there are two loves in being a wedding photographer. I LOVE , love, LOVE to create. A camera for me is a way to communicate what lies in the space between two people. It’s a gift that I am able to do what I love to do. The other love that I have…is people. I really enjoy people! It’s a love of the “know”. It’s a wonderful mix…photography and relationships. When the actual portrait is completed, I have something that is deeper and better and that something is a relationship.

I was given a gift from my dear friend Audrey . She shared her daughter and trusted me. She once again pushed me when “I didn’t know that I had in me”. The gift that was given to me is the ability to smile and laugh while I captured these moments. Kristina and Chris are incredible and throughout the entire day I never knew what they were going to do next. They are authentic. Everything they do is real…just because it’s what they wanted to do.
As Mother Teresa phrased it…a smile at someone, it’s an action of love, a gift …a beautiful thing. Thank you for the beautiful gift. I love you!

She knew about five words in english and I knew zero porteguese!
It went like this. We introduced ourselves. I spoke in english she in her native porteguese. Then something else happened and it was quite immediate, the spoken language didn’t matter. No words were needed
